A "Princess" in our house??

No, Mitchel isn't dating and there are no beautiful girl cousins visiting. But this Princess did know how to make an entrance and a headache for the one dealing directly with her. Sound familiar to anyone.... If you know me, you know I am totally orderly and CLEAN... Look at my kitchen. Look what this "Princess" did to me.
DISASTER EVERYWHERE....
all for a pretty dress and flowers....But like all Princesses it sure is fun to show the masterpiece to everyone else. I can't believe I made it through. I do truly think Heavenly Father knows me best to just keep Princes around me. One cake Princess was almost the last of me!I crazily volunteered, yes volunteered, to make this "Princess" for our Young Women's In Excellence night tonight. If you see it has all the "Value" colors on her and I do think that she turned out quite pretty, along with a YUMMY cherry chip cake with butter cream frosting and cranberry orange marmalade under that skirt!!! Ahhhhh, she's done, my kitchen's clean and I am taking Mitchel to McDonald's!

Show me....

Surprised.... Scary.... Goofy.... Silly....Studly...
Dimples.....
hehe I'd ask him to show me all these different faces and this is what he gave me! Now that my friends is a well rounded photo shoot!

Shadow hand wars!

Mitchel LOVES his shadows! He requests this flashlight all the time and preforms theses shadow hand wars with sound effects and all!

It is so STINKIN' funny to watch and be a part of. He just cracks me up.

Halloween...Fireman OCTOBER issue!

What boy isn't happy with a knife.... Scares me sometimes!
Ooooo pumpkin guts....
He found more interest in taping himself than the carving of the pumpkin! We think whatever works! The end result!
Mitchel needs time to adjust to new things. So I took the costume out a few days before and just left it laying in the front room, hoping he'd show some interest one day BEFORE Halloween.... Well he did the day before. Once he got it all on he headed to my room, jumped up on my bed and started to give commands and flexing and being all kinds of a goof in the mirror to our dresser. I grabbed the camera and this is what I got. I was laughing so hard! You gotta check out his reflection in the mirror :)
Now if that isn't a HOT October issue for a Calender I don't know what is! Just as we were about to head out to our Trunk-or-Treat, I had this great idea to bring Degen with us. Come on what good fireman doesn't have the spotted Fire House Dog! They were a HUGE hit. Everyone of course loved them together and Mitchel was a lot more comfortable having Degen there with him. We had the plan of meeting Cory at the church for this, but sadly he couldn't make it this year. So I put Mitchel and Degen in the back of the SUV opening the window part so they could see out and everything going on. Mitchel handed me the "Home made POPCORN BALLS" to hand out for about 10 minutes. I think this really helped... because after that he wanted out to go and do some trick-or-treating himself!!! Ya to branching out!!!! So we closed shop and headed out for a while. Ended up being near the end which was great for us!!
After a great night of Trick-or-Treating and McDonald's with dad (he was so sad to of missed the trick-or-treating and wanted to have some fun to)... we had to light the pumpkin one last time for one last blow out! I love this picture of Mitchel. He looks so sweet in it and in reality he was pumping up his lungs for a HUGE blow to distinguish another year of Halloween!

Mitchel Train...

chuga, chuga, Cho, Choooooooo! Now this is some good rainy day fun!
I love kids imaginations! But you know not so much the clean up :)
And SMILES!!

Hold her!??

Mitchel has been totally fascinated with Sophie lately. He want to know where she is all the time, what she's doing and has now learned that he can carry her around!! Well poor Sophie on the other hand isn't as thrilled about the new talent Mitchel has acquired, but seriously look how proud he is!! Oh and I'm sorry if all the pictures are in PJ's lately, that is seriously all he wants to wear. I can convince him to get dressed to go out, but as soon as he gets home he's back in his "jammies" as he would say. He has totally struck love, and well I can't say I blame him!

The Stool..

I made this personalized stool for Mitchel when he started potty training and he has now learned the FULL ability this stool can bring to his life.....
....this is just the beginning I know! One think nice though after he uses it for what he needs it for he quickly puts it away!! Good boy or doesn't want to be caught?! hummmm

The Annual Pumpkin Patch....

We love this farm. It's a great one for a family trip and Mitchel of course loves it.... Well this year was a little harder. Lately I can NOT sleep so Cory let me sleep in. While once I got up and showered we decided it was time to head to the pumpkin patch. So Cory was in charge of Mitchel that morning...eat, vitamins, dressed, you know that stuff.

When we got to the place everyone was happy and having a good time. We did a pony ride, got a wheel barrel and picked out some great pumpkins along with giving Mitchel a good ride too, another pony ride, but this time Mtichel was so not impressed with it which is odd since HE LOVES this part. Anyway frustration was getting it's full strength when Cory remembered that he hadn't fed him lunch. Oh crap... the poor little boy was starving, deciding not to use his words and just getting grumpier and grumpier as the minutes passed on. We felt awful and so we headed the the car and then to the nearest McDonald's. He ate 6 chicken nuggets, a small fries and his apple juice(which norm he'll only do 3 and some fries). Once he was done he was asking for more. We felt so bad and wouldn't you have guessed he was happy as pie after that!!!

Giddy up Cowboy!

Last month we had an awesome time at the fair. Mitchel was old enough to ride the rides in the kiddie land and he was seriously floating on cloud 9. I forgot my camera that day so I couldn't capture it, but we did hit a pony ride and I truly think they captured it perfectly :)

Then and Now....

Yesterday, October 19, 2009
Cory and I celebrated our
8th year of Marriage!
I can't believe it either. What a great journey. Some great bumps, maybe even a cliff or two, but those let us see the beautiful rainbows that lie beyond. The MIRACLES. The humility. The joy. The laughs. The never faltering love. The way I see him as a man today and the love I feel from him as a women, a wife and a mother. So a picture to remember what we started as, two individuals sealed for eternity and now a family bonded forever! Can't wait for more adventures and laughs!

Now this is a well trained....

CHILD!
I know when we got Degen (the LARGE dog), there were some rolling of the eyes, laughing, truly wondering and questioning why on this earth did we get another dog. Well let me show you our secret and well see who else will be buying a large dog?!See with a large dog come large accessories! Now I know you all understand! No we aren't bad parents, he asks to go in this and well we TOTALLY let him. That's a good 10 minutes of him happy, entertained and LOCKED in one spot!

Be the kind of woman that when your feet hit the floor each morning the devil says....
"OH NO!! She's up!"
