We "Heart" the Buttars!!

We had such a great surprise when we got a phone call on Easter with the announcement that the Buttars were FINALLY coming to visit us here! We were so excited as usual to have some visitors!! It was a great few days, they totally lucked out and we had great weather, lots of fun things to do and during the whole time they were so relaxed! Loved it all!Mitchel and Uncle Charlie becoming acquainted in the Mitchel arm flip head lock. Ya, it's pretty famous in this house!Aunt Gayle being a total sweetie and letting Mitchel, seriously go to town, on her phone! Then they were so sweet and without even know this is one of my favorite places for flowers, they got me these from Pike's Market! They lasted 2 weeks. BEAUTIFUL! Thanks again it was so sweet... Charlie decided to "do breakfast" and did the Krispy Kream Donuts... Yes, this was Mitchel first introduction to them and well let's just say he had 3.... loving the lemon filled one! Totally his daddies kid! Then on Gayle's Birthday Cory got half the day off and we all headed up to the Tulip Festival. It was amazing and there will be another blog on that one. Too many amazing pictures!! Charlie was a goof all day and I captured many of the faces on camera! hahaha Just thought I'd share with everyone too!Gayle HATES this smile. It drives her crazy and well I guess Charlie pulls it often... kind of reminds me of Calvin and Hobbs! lolThis was just he beginning of one of the fields! Then we went to another field and took a tractor ride. By then Mitchel had totally warmed up to the Buttars! I really think getting him a shark and a jet toy really helped! he he Now this is the life of a 3 year old! So I took Mitchel out of school for a day to take the Buttars to the Woodland Park Zoo. I couldn't let them go there alone. Come on, now that just wouldn't be right! So we joined and it was great as usual!
Mitchel was so funny here. He kept hiding behind Gayle's legs. We were by a bear change and he kept saying "scary, scary" and would NOT get up. It was pretty funny!

So we got Gayle for her birthday and we hope that she enjoyed it. When I asked her what she wanted for her birthday dinner, after all away from home or not the birthday girl has to choose her own dinner, she told me the only thing she would "request" is Cory's Dutch Oven Chicken & Potatoes. And well honestly I can't blame her. So we had them.
It was great having you guys here. We really had a wonderful time!! Mitchel man loved it too. He was looking for you guys all Friday and Saturday when you left! Glad you took the time to visit and take the vacation!!
