We love 1-800-FLOWERS....

So my hubby was SUPER sweet to me on Valentines Day and decided in a week advanced (so it was actually planned out) to call 1-800-FLOWERS and order me a bouquet of flowers to be delivered to me at home on Feb. 14th. All day he kept waiting for me to call him and tell him what a sweet, kind, caring, handsome...well you get the idea...man he is. Every time I did call him to tell him something I could tell he was waiting for something. So at 7pm that night he's says "So you didn't find your gift yet??" Giving me a hard time because I suck and not peeking if I've found something. So I have to break his heart and tell him No. Then he says "No really has nothing came for you today" me.."Nope, should there have been?"

So the next day we were out for most of the day, but when I pull up to the house at 7pm there is this beautiful bouquet of White Lilies and Red Roses, along with a teddy bear and a really sweet note. I finally get to call him and praise him like he'd been waiting for the day before. He did really good. Then 2 days later I see a white van pull up in our driveway. We've had some
break-ins around here with a white van always parked around the house. So my first reaction was to lock Mitchel is his room with the dogs for protection and then grab the fire place poker, that was the best I could find that I knew could do damage! I carefully open the door and nope no scary people, just someone dropping off another beautiful bouquet of 24 Red Roses & a teddy bear (matching the 1st one)! ahhh, safe. I let Mitchel out and then call Cory and REALLY give him the praise and inside worry of the cost of all of this....not saying anything....YET! He starts laughing thinking I was joking and when he finds out I'm not he tells me they aren't from him and asks if he should be worried. I told him if some other man was sending me flowers do you really think I'd call you and thank you for them. Like come on! We both laughed and keep checking the credit card to make sure that we weren't getting billed again. But yes one more time. Last Tuesday I have some girls and their kiddies over for a play date and someone knocks at my door again. Another bouquet of beautiful flowers, Pink Lilies, Red Roses & Purple Orchids...along with yet another matching teddy bear! I just die laugh and yes yet again call Cory praising him a little more jokingly this time, but insisting he call the company to be sure we REALLY aren't getting billed for this!

Cory calls the company and they have no idea what is going on. The guy on the phone apologizes to Cory and then tells him he'll send someone to pick the flowers up.... Cory just jokingly says "What I thought you said it was your mistake. This would be like giving candy to a child and then taking it away" The man then asked Cory how happy his wife was? Cory's reply "She is on cloud 9, so happy and loving" The guy said that must be great and to enjoy the flowers and teddy bears this once because this will never happen again. Cory told him that was alright he'd take it once! Oh and each of these bouquets came in a BEAUTIFUL 100% crystal vase. So not only did I get 3 matching teddy bears, I got 3 matching vases and around $550 of flowers in my house for a week! Yup, I think it was a GREAT Valentines Day!

That's AWESOME!! I love it when mistakes happen in your favor. Too bad the flowers won't last forever! :)

You should have recd your flowers as orginally ordered...on Valentines Day! Why order from an order broker who keeps over 30% of the order value? Order direct from the local florist and you will get your flowers on time without paying a heavy commission and service charge.
You benefited with 3 bouquets because of a huge error....not because 1800 wanted to impress you!
So why love 1800? (ask for a refund)

That is so great. Right on! Will Cory be able to top this little "mistake" next year? Ha ha. Just kidding. Wow. Enjoy the flowers!
