Vanishing Act

We sought retreat, gained great company for the trip and disappeared for a day! I have been wanting to just leave. But now that I have a kid in school I have lost that pick up and go whenever I want, I don't like that. So I thought maybe we could just get out of town for a day. I found a great friend, Carrie, Danny and Kaylee (her kids) to join the adventure. Mind you Danny and Mitchel are in testosterone heaven when they get together, so I knew he would love it.
So off to LEAVENWORTH, WA So with the three kids, me and Carrie we loaded up and were gone! It was a blast. Really a perfect day. No melt downs, no fights (well Carrie had a fight with her head and the DVD player in the car through out the adventure.... sorry), great food and lots and lots of smiles! Hottest little cowboys I've ever seen!

The sun actually shone that day. It was great, but during lunch it got a little toasty, so boys being boys, they found retreat!! (under the picnic bench)

This was in an awesome "hat" store... they had hats of all kinds.... I think these ones were very suiting for us, ah Carrie :)

He's got the heart of the cowboy and the flick of the wrist of one.... we are just lacking the lasso circle and the aim!!

All in all we had a great day. We hit everything we wanted. The kids were amazing and it was fun as a mom to laugh with Mitchel, but then to have a grown-up friend to laugh with too. Thanks Carrie, Danny and Kaylee I'm excited for the next one ;)
