Week one....**Adventure Brennen**

We checked, double checked and checked one more time Sunday May 6th and jump on our plan early Monday morning to head to Minneapolis, MI where we'd meet up with the Massey family, rent a car and drive about 2 hours to Eau Claire, WI! All for the anticipated trivial or Lil' Brennen! (who after scaring us for months decided the womb was quite a comfy place to chill')! Mitchel was a total CHAMP at the airport, on the plane, off the plane, at the airport, on a plane and well then at the airport one more time! He was happy watching movies, eating their snacks and a short nap in there too! I especially love his bubble blowing talent he showed us while watching a show! Oh this kid cracks me up!

After we got our luggage and meet up with Jeannette, Sydney & Brandt, along with meeting her mom we headed to this HUGE mall in Minneapolis where we roamed (trying to coax Brennen out), ventured through Lego Land (which was AMAZING and conclusion that someone has way too much time on their hands) and let the kids ride a few rides... I'm telling you this mall was HUGE! And Cory became the jungle gym for the boys! Ahhhh I love this man!
In Eau Claire they have these 'hands' all over the city, I never did read or find out what they are or represent, but we did get a picture on them.... I'm sure they are some kind of green peace something or another ;) And well best part of it all is the cute little boy sitting on top!
One of the nights we figured a 'weenie roast' was a great idea. Jeannette has been telling me of these hot dogs that are amazing for about 3 months, so we pulled them out and I must admit Jeannette, they were amazing, and really who doesn't like a weenie roast!!
You can see in the corner of this picture that Cory grabbed himself a magnify glass and proceeded to spell each of the kids name in a little piece of wood. It turned out awesome and I didn't even know it was possible. I didn't get a picture of all 3 kids and their names, but we did bring back Mitchel's and I'll get a picture of it up later...but it's cool!
The joined families, except me... I'm pretty much posted behind the camera the entire trip! I did love the green there. Yes that is green not from sprinkler, but from rain! Ahhhh, how I have missed so much GREEN! Pretty much the first week we just chilled and let our families get to know each other and Jeannette and I gabbed our brains out after all it had been 8 years since we last seen each other so we had lots to catch up on!
She also brought us around to see a couple places one was this store that is owned and operated by Mennonite folk. It is a awesome store! Beautiful, clean and all kinds of food. They package everything right there in the store and then sale for incredible prices! I wish we had one of these around here.
Right outside the doors Mitchel and Jeannette found a frog and if there is anything to know about Jeannette and 'things she loves' it's frogs and butterflies. So of course it's only right to catch the frog and rescue it! I love this lady, really she's really, truly one of a sweet kind!

There was some work that needed to be done in Jeannette's house and we had to keep Cory sane after all I come to calculate that it has been 9 years since I have spent 11 consecutive days with this man! I have to admit I LOVED it and if adopting is what I gotta do to have that happen....hummmm ;) Anyway on a ramble there. So Cory headed to the hard-wear store and come home with PCV pipe, a box of nails and an extremely boyish grin! I asked him what he was up too and still just the grin. Then when all the kids were home the project was revealed...a blow dart gun.... with NAILS. Ummm can you say ER! No Cory laid down the rules and they were blow dart maniac's, I think Sydney held the longest distant too! I think Cory captured Man of the Month this month :D
We also had some great movie nights. We all went to see Avengers, when then we found out some people in the house hadn't seen Thor or Green Laturn so pretty much any movie this week were totally deemed 'Super Hero'!
Yes, during all this fun we were still patiently awaiting Brennen's arrival. We WALKED a lot, laughed a lot, ate a lot, swam in the hotel pool a lot and waited a lot. At the end of the week Sydney ran her first 5k and did awesome. Mitchel and Brandt were amazing cheerers and I must admit the cutest around!
All in all at the end of the week I can truly see why Brennen insisted on waiting. It was perfect for our two families to laugh, and love and share our lives. The saying
'The Lord knows best' is so completely true..... and then onto week 2!
