Les Schwab Country

The Witters Les Schwab Story........
Although this novel dates back to when we were married, we are going to skip ahead a little to the newest chapter! On June 28th(I think) we got back into Boise from our family reunion and were over at Paul & Katie's house, my brother. Katie and I were chatting away when Cory came inside and oddly followed me around for a few minutes. Then he just gave me a hug and said "Well Honey we got our call!
Spanish Springs, Sparks, Nevada
is our NEW home!" The biggest tears my little eyes could muster burst through and so did my first thoughts,
"Could this day get any worse?"
Was all I could say. Cory was a champ. He knew I'd been really, really, really wanting the new Kuna, ID store and that I'd need a little time to adjust myself. After a few minutes I did gather myself, congratulate him with a smile and maybe a few more tears, pulled up my big girl panties and thought positive for our new adventure!
Then we started the phone calls, which for Cory hasn't stopped yet! Once we called our folks, family kept suggesting that we take a road trip there to see the area. Katie was AWESOME and totally volunteered to keep Mitchel. I finally convinced Cory to go, since it was only a 7 hour drive from Boise vs. a 12 hour drive from Bellevue! So Thursday we pack up and head out. Once in Sparks we headed straight to our NEW store and that was when the excitement hit Cory!. I think he's in love!
Great Job Honey you are going to be AMAZING as a Manager! And I'm going to have to get used to day after day of blue skies
(if you know me, you'll know that I'm TOTALLY serious about that statement)That night we tried to stay in a edgy Motel 6. We actually got all checked in, grabbed our bags and headed up to our room. I was first and saw that the door was ajar, so what do I do. I push it open and walk in. Cory about jumped out of his skin trying to get in front of me. He was thinking of all the bad I could of walked into, me I was thinking what the heck, I want to see! Ya, you can say I got a lecture after that one! Anyway it didn't work out there, which we both believe we were being looked after, and we found a much more pleasant Hotel that had an amazing breakfast taboo! Friday morning we wake up, meet up with our Real estate Agent to go house hunting. You know those gross, disgusting stories you hear about what people do when they have to leave their house?!?!? Well we found out first hand they are SO TRUE. Really people, have some dignity!
Then with lots of papers, our minds going a million miles an hour, we got back on the road headed to Boise around 4pm Friday evening.
Despite my anxiety at first, I am VERY excited for this new chapter in life. We have found a home and are coming close to closing on it, the store is EVERYTHING that Cory wanted, if he had to open a new store and the school that I most desired is the school Mitchel will be attending. And well if I have to do blue skies, I found this water park for Mitchel and I!
You can totally say SEASON PASSES to this one!
