Like I said time and time again... my mommy is AwEsOmE! Truly one of a tender kind! When my hot hubby and lil' bigger man had to head home, she was there for a few days to keep me company on the other side of the country. In between loving on Brennen and taking lots of pictures and sleeping in and a little work here and there, we did make it out to check out some of the country. After all we had some time to kill waiting for the 'Interstate Adoption' offices in both WI and NV to approve us.... and we all know how government move. Nope it's not fast if that was your guess. But we had a secret weapon and her name was Stella... our lawyer... SHE ROCKED IT!
This was a cool old abandoned building behind us. I was SO tempted to go exploring, but my mom told me 'No!' and I had a little baby in the car I just couldn't leave or risk taking in there. But it was cool and I think it would of been awesome to explore it. For some reason I have always LOVED old buildings. After all once upon a time it was new, beautiful, ready to hold memories and someone was proud of it!
The land in WI was beautiful. Green, trees and plenty of farming to be had! Cool thing too is the Amish that do live there. When I did my ex-tern for school in PA, I got to go explore the Amish community and I would love to just sit with these women and learn all their talents, because they have LOTS and they use them instead of keeping them hidden! Anyway as mom and I were driving there was this horse & buggie at the bank! Then as we ventured more there was another man working his team in his field! It was just so neat to see. We also went to a store that sold Amish wood work....OH could I have spent money there. It was BEAUTIFUL!
In some ways I envy their life style. I love how they make what they have/use. They create and produce and see the labors of their hands. That's something that I have always liked. Don't get me wrong I do love the amenities of the world, but I miss a simplicity of life that seems so hard to get in our world now days. It was just neat to see these talented, devoted people in their environment....and go home to AC ;)
Oi, do I LOVE this little boy and those little fingers and those little toes. But still the best thing is that I now have 2, yes 2 boys!!
And then the day came when we flew home! It was a bitter sweet to leave the Massey family, but to know I would be home and have my whole family....ya words can't explain what that meant to my heart! And really this little man did this the ENTIRE 4 hour plane ride. We had everyone drooling over him and there must of been 10 women offer to hold him if I needed to pee. Thank you ladies, but I can hold that for HOURS... :)
WELCOME home BRENNEN CORY!!!!
